The PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 and its variants (such as Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition) are generally region-free, meaning that they should work on any PS3 console regardless of the region, including NTSC US consoles. This applies to both PAL (Region 2) and NTSC (Region 1) versions of the game.

However, there are a few considerations to keep in mind:

  1. DLC Compatibility: Downloadable content (DLC) is region-locked. If you have a PAL version of Fallout 3, you will need to purchase DLC from the corresponding region's PlayStation Store.
  2. Save Files: Save files from different regions may not be compatible with each other. For example, a save file from a PAL version of Fallout 3 may not work with an NTSC version of the game.
