Chromehounds is a tactical, squad-based mech combat game for the Xbox 360 that focused heavily on its online multiplayer experience, where players commanded customizable mechs called Hounds to fight for one of three warring nations. Players could customize their mechs with millions of part options, and online gameplay involved coordinating in squads of up to six to conquer territories in persistent, global conflicts. While a single-player campaign served as a tutorial and was used to unlock parts, the online mode was the game's main focus, with the single-player content often described as unengaging.
